I am a pround Orthodox Jew with an extensive Yeshiva Background. I am not a Rabbi nor the son of a Rabbi, and I am not an expert on the Halacha. Also, I do not have the monetary means nor the physical means to hire experts to review the material that I posted. Nor do I have the ability to spend countless hours researching my translation with the commentaries of today's highest Halachic authorities.
You should note that there are most probably some errors in this translation so you should always consut your local Rabbinical authority on Halachic decisions. The main purpose of this translation is to be used as an aid in studying the Shulchan Aruch. I suggest you have a Shulchan Aruch in front of you, read the original Hebrew with my translation so that you will catch any errors and also be immensely helped by the English translation. I do not recomemnd you only read my English translation and use it as your sole Halachic basis since this might lead to the Torah being distorted.
The method I use to translate the Shulchan Aruch is the following: I read it over, and write down what I think is the best translation. I consult with several Hebrew-English dictionaries if I am unsure what a particular word means. Most Chapters, particularly the more recent ones were reviewed before being posted. Ideally, every chapter should be reviewed many times over but I don't have the time to do so. I am going to do periodic reviews when I finish the project but this most probably will take 20 years. Also, be advised that no experts review the material since I obviously don't have the monetary means to do so with a free translation. Therefore, be warned about possible errors and take my advice seriously.
The ultimate goal of this project's success is for readers to post errors they catch on the forum, and the errors will be fixed.
